If projections made by analysts with Cybersecurity Ventures hold, someone somewhere this year will create the 300 billionth computer password. With 7.8 billion people on the planet, that works out to over 38 unique passwords out there for every person on Earth.
It’s likely you don’t have to keep track of 38 passwords yourself, but your personal number is still probably higher than you’d like. And the odds that you can keep your personal and professional logins straight, especially with mandatory updating, is tough if not impossible today.
No one can remember all that and stay secure without the help of a service like LogMeOnce Password Manager. Right now, one year of their Professional Plus Plan is only $9.99, a $20 savings off the regular price.
With most password managers, you need to craft one master password to get into your account and manage the rest of your passwords. But LogMeOnce has gone the extra step of eliminating the necessity to remember even one password.
Users go to the LogMeOnce app and have their picture taken. That image goes right to the user’s secure mobile device, and once it’s approved as a legitimate login, your account opens. With LogMeOnce, you can then create a strong, unique password for every site or account you use. That password syncs across all your designated devices and auto-fills your login so you get single-touch access to all your accounts.
In addition to its ease of use, LogMeOnce is also brimming with added features, so many that Slash Gear pointed out that what “its rivals offer at a price, (LogMeOnce) gives away for free.”
Those features include Account Freeze, which lets you temporarily freeze account access, or lock it to your home IP address; Scheduled Login, which lets you specify when you intend to log in again; a password inheritance system; and Password Shock, which can capture an attempted hacker’s photo, IP address, and other metadata, sound loud, honking alarms, blast music or shake the screen to send bad actors running.
A LogMeOnce Password Manager Professional Plus Plan is on sale now for only $9.99 or you can extend their services to a 3-year ($19.99; originally $90) or 5-year ($29.99; originally $150) plan.
